Netflix Ajeeb Daastaans Review Anthology of four short Relationships

There are stories that you bluntly watch to pass time and then there are stories when you watch them it blows your mind in a way that you wish to watch more. Ajeeb Daastaans is one of the second ones.

Just like Lust stories and Ludo, which have been amazing blockbusters, I bet Ajeeb Daastaans will take your away. Released on the 16th of April, it casts Jaideep Ahlawat, Fatima Sana Sheikh, Nushrat Barucha, Abhishek Banerjee, Aditi Rao Haidri, Konkana Sen Sharma, Manav Kaul, and Shefali Shah.

What is the movie Ajeeb Daastaans about?

Ajeeb Daastaans revolves around four storylines, Majnu is directed by Khaitan revolves around a married couple (married due to political reasons) while the lady expects love but the man has an extra-marital affair.

The characters are played by Jaideep Alahwat and Fatima Sana Shaikh have brilliantly performed their parts.

Khilauna is directed by Raj Mehta, narrates a story of two sisters, the elder one working for the family to sustain both of them. She has a secret admirer who she falls in love which again scripts as”an Ajeeb Daastaans”.

The leads are played by Nushrat Barucha and Abhishek Banerjee and they have performed tremendously well, it is one of the most engaging and real storytelling out of four.

The third one calls Geeli-Puchi directed by Ghaywan, narrates the story of two young ladies who work at the same plays and how patriarchy plays its role, affecting the lives of both.

The characters are played by Konkon Sen Sharma who’s a synonym for perfection, she makes any role so convincing and you’ll feel nothing but empathetic towards her character while the other lady is Aditi Rao Hydari, her presence itself is such charismatic that any role that she plays becomes instantly beautiful!

The last one, Ankahi is directed by Irani revolves around a lady who deals with a bad marriage due to their deaf daughter falls in love with a deaf photographer and hence “Ankahi” is played by Shefali Shah and Manav Kaul. It’s a sweet romantic story you’ll fall in love with.


The movie “Ajeeb Daastaans” is surely a must-watch. Four different stories performed so well by the actors’ will only blow your mind and I’m sure you’ll enjoy watching all of them! It streams on Netflix for you to watch it.
