What is the Love and Monsters movie about?
The world is hit by an asteroid that has a chemical fallout resulting in the worms becoming 2000x times bigger. Imagine if these little insects like ants, toads, etc grew so big, will humans be able to survive them? As an answer, the movie shows 95% of the world’s population is consumed by these gigantic worm monsters.
Joel, a young lad gets separated while the asteroid explosion happened promising her to reunite as soon as possible. Joel lives in a bunker, called colonies where the survivors live plans to unite with his girlfriend after 7 years.
The movie talks about his journey to meet his girlfriend and the monsters he faces as obstacles till he meets his girl finally.

While walking towards the higher altitude to meet Aimee, he realized that the higher altitude has fewer monsters due to low temperatures making it a safer place to live in.
When he meets Aimee finally she says that she needs time and that she’s mourning for someone and promises to meet him later. Joel treks back to his bunker while he motivates the other colonies to find shelter at higher altitudes.
